In a career-best outing, Otega Oweh had 35 points and etched himself into March Madness lore after hitting a midcourt prayer 🙏 at the buzzer that ultimately lifted Kentucky past Santa Clara. We’ve also seen High Point emerge as a potential Cinderella candidate after beating #5 seed Wisconsin in their first matchup; the Panthers now try to keep their fairy tale alive against Arkansas, the SEC Tournament champions 😬 As noted, there was also some certainty in the midst of the chaos during the first two days, with each #1, #2, #3, and #4 seed winning their first matchup.
On the women's side, the better seeds went a perfect 16-0 on Friday, which means either the bracket-makers nailed it or the upsets are being saved for later 🤞 LSU dropped 116 on Jacksonville for their 15th 100-point game of the season, tying a Division I record. Meanwhile Tennessee ended their season on an eight-game losing streak, the first time since 1982 the Lady Vols went winless in the month of March. That one stings.
