Final Four weekend has arrived, BettrNation family 🙌 This year's tournament has already left us with some iconic moments, and if this weekend is anything like the last few weeks, we may be in for an epic few days on the hardwood ⛹️
First, let's start where we left off last week. ICYMI, UConn rallied from 19 down to stun 😲 #1 Duke on a last-second three to reach the Final Four - a shot so good it instantly became etched in NCAA lore and became a legendary moment in UConn basketball 🫢Despite UConn’s jubilation after that game, fast forward five days and Husky Nation found themselves when Goliath their undefeated women’s team lost to South Carolina, who avenged last year's loss in the title game. Legendary coach Geno Auriemma was not happy. He ripped the officiating live on ESPN during a mid-game interview and then got into a heated exchange with Dawn Staley in the final seconds of the game. Dawn Staley, though, was in a great mood after the game, as were all of the bettors who made some money on Goliath’s fall last night 🤑
On the men's side, tonight's matchups are everything we asked for - Illinois vs. UConn and Michigan vs. Arizona, four programs with legitimate championship DNA 🧬 and lines worth dissecting carefully. Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd turned down the UNC job this week to stay in Tucson, which tells you everything you need to know about how he feels about this team's ceiling - and the money Arizona committed to him and his program 😏 Meanwhile, not to be overshadowed by the Final Four, Trump dropped an Executive Order ✒️ on college athletics last night that has athletic directors and lawyers alike burning the midnight oil to understand what exactly this Order means for college sports. The bracket has no time for any of that right now though. Four teams remain, with each looking to make history this weekend in Indy!
