🏀 Scouting Report: Mar. 14

Big week, BettrNation family! NFL free agency officially opened, and the league did not ease us in gently. The Maxx Crosby saga alone was a full season of television - the Ravens reportedly had a deal done, then “backed out” allegedly due to medical concerns, and immediately signed Trey Hendrickson the next day 🤔 (We’re no relationship expert but seems like Baltimore had some second thoughts at the altar 😏) Meanwhile Kyler Murray is heading to Minnesota, which is either another brilliant reclamation project or the most Vikings thing to ever happen (especially if they let Kyler walk and he wins a Super Bowl somewhere else 😂). Geno Smith is a NY Jet (again), Josh Allen has a new WR1 in Buffalo, and Patty Mahomes now shares the backfield with another Super Bowl MVP to take some pressure off his golden arm. The NFL offseason never disappoints (unless you’re a Raiders fan)! A ton of new faces in new places, and we'll keep tracking the moves that move the lines.

Even with the NFL taking the headlines this week, March is about the hardwood 🏀Conference tournament week is delivering exactly what it promised - chaos, tears, and bracket carnage. Miami (OH) waltzed through the entire regular season undefeated and then got knocked out by UMass in their conference tournament, which is the most disrespectful way the basketball overlords could possibly say not so fast. Duke nearly suffered a similar fate - FSU had them dead to rights before the Blue Devils escaped, and then Arizona needed a buzzer beater to survive their own scare last night 😲 The message this week is clear: nobody is safe. Selection Sunday is tomorrow, and the madness is just getting started. Let’s try to make some money on the craziness 🤑
