Let’s start where everyone is still talking - the epic comeback Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks trailed the Spurs by 29 points. Down 20 in the fourth quarter. And they won anyway - OG Anunoby tipping in a Brunson miss with 1.2 seconds left for an amazing 107-106 victory, completing the largest comeback in NBA Finals history. (Sorry to those of you who are Spurs fans 😢) Brunson had 36. Anunoby had 33. The Spurs shot 59% in the first half and 20% in the second.  It was one of the most absurd things this sport has ever produced. The Knicks now lead 3-1 and head to San Antonio tonight for Game 5 - three chances to close it out, first one on the road in a building that will be absolutely hostile. The Spurs are young, dangerous, and not ready to go home. But the Knicks are one win from ending a 53-year championship drought, and Brunson has shown he can conjure something out of nothing in the biggest moments. The city of New York is fully unhinged right now and we are here for it. 🗽

Meanwhile on the other side of the sports universe, the USMNT opened the World Cup with a statement - a 4-1 demolition of Paraguay at SoFi Stadium , fueled by Folarin Balogun’s first-half brace - the first USMNT player to score multiple goals in a World Cup game since 1930.  ⚽ The Americans looked like a team that belongs, and the world (and the betting markets) may have to start taking the US more seriously on the pitch 💪
