Hi BettrNation family!! We have (just about) entered the month of February, which can only mean one thing: the football season is about to end - and my post-football doldrums are about to begin 😢 With only one meaningful game left in the football season (sorry, Pro Bowl weekend 😕), the sports betting world is rightfully gearing up for what will undoubtedly be another record year for Super Bowl-related bets, with sharps and squares alike preparing to jump on opportunities ranging from the opening coin toss to the number of ghosts 👻 Sam Darnold may(e) - or may(e) not - see during the game! Despite the bountiful menu of betting options for SB 60, one sentiment seems to be forming among the nation: for those of us outside New England, it feels WAY too early for the Patriots to be good again! (⚠️ Disclaimer: Friendly reminder that February also has Valentine’s Day, which means that, at least in my household, I need to win some extra cash to pay for those flowers and dinner reservations 😅)
As we savor what is left of the football season, we can also spend this weekend to get accustomed to life without the pigskin 🏈, as there are a number of exciting betting opportunities (in UFC, NBA, CBB, etc.). And if you aren’t ready to go a weekend without football, feel free to turn on the Pro Bowl and catch one final glimpse of some NFL All-Stars (and Shedeur Sanders, for some reason?) before we see them again next fall!
Here’s to hoping your bets land better than the NFL Hall of Fame report this week! (ICYMI, Coach Belichick apparently didn’t do enough to be a HOFer, although perhaps his recent college season weighed down his application 😂) And remember friends, don’t gamble; bet bettr!
